Can useless CDs be recycled?

HEre's a radical thought: yea, actually put some "stuff on the shelves that you like to look at" in storage so that what's there is pleasing to the eyes. Then switch them out. Oh, yea, that would assume doing this more than every three years. Welp, here's thinking about it...

Arright... did dishes and swabbed down counters and 90% of the floor in the kitchen today. Sofa is nekkid. Area 2 is almost there. The LIST says I need to have 1, 2, and 3 done tonight. I also hauled up a bookcase from the basement... but yea, my bookholding furniture is in need of something. I have several unoccupied ones, but two of 'em are the ancient Aunt Jan ones that are 3 feet high and can't stack and take up lots of wall space BUT of course are to ohigh to go under a window (I think). Maybe I should check to see if the bookcases stacked in the middle room would do better stacked in the living room.
In the meantime, to make the living room marginally ready to receive a quilt, since there's a 40% chance that will really happen this year/week.

Welp, can't find the plunger to do the sink properly (found a plastic entity calling itself a master plunger, but all it did was suck up some amazingly vile crap from down under, and then spit it back out into the sink, where it commences to sit. Luckily for you, I can't find the camera ;))

whoopie, I figured out how to make it work. Dang it, though, it is still the LOOONG beee beep beep beeep about 30 of 'em. Still, I can set it for four minutes and oh, see if I can get the sofa empty in ... welp it took three of 'em. Found the key to the p.o. box which I had said I would chck three days ago, but I *did* gt the sofa empty before I'm going out there. (

All right, 'tis a new year (well, school is over so it is!)

Now, it's one thing to try and maintain tidiness but there's also the "spring cleaning" concept, which I shall endeavor to attempt this week. One thwarter is the idea that getting any given space really clean takes infinite time. I work at it until I figure out what I need that I don't have. Then I plan for how to get it and do it but then other things get in the way. So, the idea that I could spend X minutes or hours on a room... (doesn't help that I'd planned to pick up cleaning stuff on my battery-run - but decided to go to Walgreens and ended up picking up cough drops instead and forgot about cleaning tools).
However, it's time to put a Window Of Time into the living room, eh? Will it be a tiny little window or a bay window? Time will Tell :)
First Thing To Find (oh, yea, I forgot. It takes infinite time because I also find things that HAVE TO BE DONE along the way, so that say when I find the hookup for camera to ocmputer, I will then upload the picture of the Gazelle so I can tell the guys at clevercycle what I need. And it *does* have to be done. Except so does the cleaning.)

Saturday with Hours to Dedicate to DOmestic Diversions!

9:30-10:00 about to pay the bills that I found this a.m. after seeking them for 13 days. Um, *yes*, they were barely under the Very Top Layer of Life. Not sure how they separated themselves from teh Taxes. What matterts is I HAVE THEM NOW ...
Then Laundry, Kitchen FLoor and ... THE CORNER. By 11:00??? The event is so exciting... we watch with worms on our tongues...

Note to self: make that "five ways to study" experiment thing so students can see which things help 'em best.

Happily, less than 2 days aftr the sofa was chosen there were three people in the living room sitting on it.

I thought to myself "I could use some flat surfaces..." (we ate there... um, after all, the table wasn't available ;) ) ) and yesterday I scored solid wood folding tray-tables, set of four for ten bucks. Wondered why 'til I got 'em home (yes, on the Xtra) and then saw thte fragment of Christmas wrapping paper.

still messing with this netbook but rather glad I yielded to the impulse, since the mac is in teh shop with a dead hard drive.

Welp, her issues probably aren't my issues, but it did remind me about this.
I actually remembered a couple of other times too... thinking with *absolute certainty* that yes, I was motivated... and I did get some stuff declutted but not the target table.
But I had totally forgotten the list on the left... hey, good people, whilst I didn't find the wretched tax form, I*did* get another copy of it so... I shall be able to do my taxes. Thursday night it shall be, with a 200K ride Friday as a reward.

Mundanities

Welp, today I bought another allen wrench set and adjustable wrench. (I haven't lost the wrench, but want one for in the house and one for on the bike; likewise the allen wrenches if I find the others.)

It's 3:17 Sunday on a 3-day weekend. The delegation has gotten to El Salvador and are walking to the first settlement. I'm the only one around. It's cool and nice. How much more can I type before I get to the mundanities :)

Here are The SPots!

The first is the place by my door that, thank you, ALREADY has the dollar shelf that I got at the garage sale (I said to myself "I'll see if there's a little shelf to put by my door at this yard sale" and there was.) And it's got my little key hanger nailed up again. Now, do I know where my keys are? No. However, this week really honest I mean it this time I'm going to spend time eliminating possibilities for Where They ARe, one room at a time. It would really improve my life to have them.
the shelf is for the silly cell phone that likes to get up and hide itself.
